That's the right choice for a multi-mic drum kit, stacked backing vocals, doubled guitars, or several software instruments that need one group chain. Balance the subtracks first, then use the main aux to place the group in the mix. A Summing Stack also has a musical use. Put several software instrument tracks inside it and record a MIDI region on the main track. Logic sends those MIDI events to the instrument subtracks, so one performance can play a layered sound. You can still record separate MIDI regions on individual subtracks. ## How to create a Track Stack in Logic Pro 1. **Select the tracks.** They can be adjacent or nonadjacent.
